Here are some resources to help you create your citations. Be sure you know the difference between print and nonprint (electronic) sources.
EasyBib will help you keep all your research stuff together in one place. It creates your citations for you using a website's URL, and you can search for information directly from EasyBib. Students and teachers must create accounts, and it is strongly suggested that students use their CMCSS-issued user names and passwords. Expires May 31, 2013.
Be sure to choose MLA 7th edition - this is the style that CMCSS middle schools use. MLA stands for Modern Language Association.
World Book Web
provides correctly formatted citations for its own articles, but it has a citation builder as well. The really great thing about World Book Citation Builder is that you can create your own student account within our school subscription and SAVE your citations. After you've created your account, click on "Citation Builder" under the Research Tools section. Choose the type of source and you'll see a window asking for information. Input this information and then click "submit." Scroll down below all the fields and you will see the citation created in MLA, APA, and Harvard styles.
